2 muggers killed in Khilkhet gunfight: police

Two muggers were killed in a gunfight with police in Khilkhet area of Dhaka early today, according to Dhaka Metropolitan Police.

The deceased -- Nazmul and Shahin -- were accused in cases including four for murders, Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (media) of DMP, told reporters.

The gunfight took place in the middle of 300 Feet and Service roads around 3am, the police official said.

The law enforcers recovered a firearm and also seized a CNG-run auto-rickshaw used by them for mugging.
