4 held with 1kg opium in Ctg

The Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) of Chittagong arrested four people with 1kg of opium in Chawkbazar area of Chittagong city yesterday.

The arrestees are Zillur Karim, 49, and Makbul Ahmed, 60, of Cox's Bazar, Mahabubul Alam Masud, 38, of Comilla and  Md Sohel, 28, of Chandgaon area of the city.

On information, a team of DNC conducted a drive at Zaman Hotel and arrested them with the opium, said DNC Chittagong Metro Deputy Director Aslam Khan.

A case was filed.
