Couple held with 12,000 yaba pills

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) has arrested a couple with 12,000 yaba pills, after searching a private car on Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj.

The arrest was made on Friday noon, Rab-11 said in a press release yesterday. The car was also seized.

The detainees were identified as Md Sohail Kazi (31) and Sabah Afrin (20) from ​​Chandpur.

The press release also said the detainees confessed during initial interrogation they used ridesharing services for the drug trade.
