Death anniversary

Today is the 20th death anniversary of freedom fighter Farid Uddin Ahmed.

He was born in 1951 in Gournadi upazila of Barisal, says a press release.

Farid Uddin joined the 1971 Liberation War under sector-9 commander Maj MA Jalil.

After independence, he joined as a junior officer at National Tubes Company in Gazipur and worked there till his death.

He left behind his wife and two sons.
