Death anniversary

Today is the 4th death anniversary of Begum Fawzia Samad, wife of Bangladesh General Insurance Co Ltd founder late MA Samad.

Fawzia had been president of Dhaka Ladies Club for about 38 years, says a press release.

She along with her husband founded a magazine "MINAR" for children and youth of the country.

Fawzia was born in Sylhet in 1929. She was the mother of Towhid Samad, chairman of BGIC; Fancy Samad, Tamju Samad and Sabrina Samad.
