Dutch queen arrives Nov 16

Queen of the Netherlands Máxima Zorreguieta Cerruti is expected to arrive in Bangladesh on November 16 on a four-day visit to strengthen the existing bilateral relationship.

Diplomatic sources said Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is now on a three-day visit to the Netherlands on invitation of her Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte, and the subsequent visit of the queen will strengthen ties between the two nations.

The queen, who is also the United Nations secretary-general's special advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development, will visit some UN and Dutch projects in Bangladesh.

Queen Máxima will have meetings with President Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali and other stakeholders during her four-day visit.
