Four-storey building tilts

A four-storey residential building in Mohammadpur area tilted yesterday, forcing the authorities to evacuate it.

The building beside Tajmahal road tilted around 3:30pm, creating panic among residents and those of neighbouring buildings, station officer of Mohammadpur Fire Service and Civil Defence Sajeeb Sarkar told The Daily Star.

Fire fighters evacuated the building to avert any untoward incident, he added.

No casualty, however, was reported in connection with the incident.
