French National Day celebrated in Dhaka

The French embassy in Dhaka celebrated the French National Day, also known as Bastille Day, on Tuesday.

Diplomats, political leaders, civil society representatives, educationists, journalists, noted artists, and fashion designers, among others, attended the reception at the Embassy Residence De France at Gulshan.

Bangladesh has recognised France as an active voice in promoting and protecting democracy and freedom across the globe, said Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali at the programme.

France Ambassador in Dhaka Sophie Aubert also spoke at the celebration wishing a stronger friendship between Bangladesh and France in the coming days.
