Gazipur serial bomb attack convict held at jail gate after release

A convict in a countrywide serial bomb blasts case was held again at the gate of Gazipur High Security Jail soon after he was released yesterday.

A team of CID of police from Dhaka detained Asadul alias Jahangir, 27, of Chalkapara village in Sreepur upazila of the district, at 1:45pm for grilling him on suspicion of his involvement in such other attacks, said police. Jahangir was jailed for 10 years in the case filed over the serial bombings in the district on August 17, 2005 and he was released yesterday after serving the jail term.
