Indefinite transport strike begins in Mymensingh

Mymensingh District Transport Owners' Association yesterday called a strike for an indefinite period demanding that Haluaghat police immediately release their truck which they confiscated about a year ago.

According to the association leaders, police detained two trucks, one from Noakhali and another from Haluaghat, as sand was mixed with the consignment of coal.

Noakhali police released a truck few months ago. When contacted, Haluaghat police denied the claim of seizing any truck on Mymensingh-Haluaghat road.
