Man kills father over family feud

A man chopped and strangled his father to death over a family feud at Mahmudhabad village in Habiganj Sadar upazila on Thursday night.

Deceased Kitab Ali, 70, was father of Junaid Miah of the area.

Habiganj police quoted locals as saying that Junaid killed his father Kitab by chopping and strangling him when Kitab stabbed Junaid following a family feud.

Junaid is now hiding, said police.

The dead body was sent to Habiganj Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
