Muhammad Imran receives UAE medal of independence
Bangladeshi diplomat Muhammad Imran has received the UAE’s Medal of Independence of the First Order, in recognition of his efforts that contributed to promoting friendly relations and cooperation between the UAE and Bangladesh.
UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan conferred it to Muhammad Imran, who is now high commissioner of Bangladesh to India, reported UAE’s state news agency Emirates News Agency on Wednesday.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation of UAE presented Muhammad Imran with the medal at the former’s office. Imran extended his thanks and appreciation to UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Imran served as the Bangladesh ambassador to the UAE before joining his assignment to India.
