Obituary

Shahidul Islam, former additional deputy inspector general of police, died from cancer in St Catherine's Hospital of Stuttgart, Germany on Wednesday, aged 54. His namaz-e-janaza was held at the capital's Rajarbagh Police Lines yesterday. He was scheduled to be buried in his family graveyard in Godagari upazila of Rajshahi.
