Road accidents kill 4, injure 4

Road accidents killed four people and injured four others in three districts yesterday, according to our correspondents.

In Naogaon, a truck hit a rickshaw at Dactarer intersection in Sadar upazila in the morning, killing the rickshaw-puller Firoj, 40.

While fleeing, the vehicle later ran over Abu Bakar, 20, helper of another truck, as he tried in vain to halt it, leaving him dead, Sadar police quoted witnesses as saying.

In Sirajganj, Mostafizur Rahman, a constable of Sirajganj Police Lines, was killed and four other cops were injured as a truck rammed their vehicle in Nolka in the early hours.

In Natore, tenth-grader Jahedul Islam died instantly as a truck hit his motorbike at Bonpara Bazar in Baraigram upazila.
