Road crash kills 3 Ansar members

Three members of Ansar were killed and 31 others injured when a bus carrying them collided head-on with a truck in Gulchattar area of Shaistaganj upazila in Habiganj yesterday.

The deceased were Ziaul Haque, 30, of Kasha Sajib Mia, 28, Bijoynagar and Babul Mia, 25, of Brahmanbaria.

Locals blocked the Dhaka-Sylhet highway for half an hour following the incident, said police.

In Thakurgaon, Mithun, 26, of Islamnagar was killed and his co-rider injured when a jeep of Bangladesh Army hit his motorcycle on Thakurgaon Bus Stand-Railway Station road in the municipality area yesterday.
