Road digging only from Oct to Feb

From next year, all utility service organisations can dig roads for different projects only between October and February to avoid the monsoon which intensifies city dwellers' sufferings, said Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Annisul Huq yesterday.

The mayor made the comment while visiting West Nakhalpara where Wasa (Water Supply & Sewerage Authority) is replacing a water pipeline. Following complaints from the residents that many of them are not getting water due to the ongoing work, Annisul directed Wasa officials to speed up, mitigate the water crisis before this Eid and find a permanent solution within 10 days.
