SAU officials call off strike but teachers yet to decide

Officials of Sylhet Agriculture University (SAU) called off their strike and got back to administrative work yesterday.

SAU Officer Parishad president Sanowar Hossen Miah said Vice-Chancellor Golam Shahi Alam has assured them of looking into their issue. However, teachers have not yet withdrawn their resignation.

An altercation took place between teachers and officials over the recruitment process of teachers on Tuesday. Following the incident, 55 teachers and 12 officials resigned that evening and the officials called a strike.
