SCC to install CCTV cameras for crime control

To control the crime rate, Sylhet City Corporation will start installing close circuit cameras in major traffic points of the city.

Talotola to Surma Market Point, City Point, Dhopadighir Par, Sobhanighat to Naiyorpul and City Point to Zindabazar will be under CCTV coverage.

The initial installation will cover 6km of the city roads and it will start soon, confirmed SCC office, adding that Sylhet Metropolitan Police will monitor the operation.
