Sust career club marks 8th anniversary
A two-day programme celebrating the eighth anniversary of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (Sust) Career Club ended on the campus yesterday.
Inaugurated on Friday morning, the event featured a rally, discussion and quiz competition.
Sky lanterns were also released in the evening, as part of the celebrations.
Nojibur Rahman, former principal secretary to the prime minister, was the keynote speaker at the programme.
The university's Vice Chancellor Prof Farid Uddin Ahmed attended the ceremony as chief guest.
The career club also awarded ten individuals for their performances in debate, sports, innovation, music, recitation, theatre, research and photography.
This year, the club also awarded the "Honour of Excellence" to five alumni of the university's first batch.
They were recognised for their excellence in public service, corporate career, education and research, entrepreneurship and community development.
During the festival, the club's annual magazine was also unveiled.
With the slogan -- Steps toward your dream -- the career club was founded on February 14, 2012.
