World Social Work Day observed at RU

Teachers, students and staff of the department of social work at Rajshahi University yesterday brought out a colourful rally and held a discussion programme on the university campus, marking the World Social Work Day.

The speakers at the discussion said knowledge of social work would help stop ruthless activities including child abuse, and urged all to spread the knowledge across the world.

Among others, Prof Dr Fakrul Islam and Prof Dr Emajuddin of the department spoke at the programme presided by its chair Prof Sadequl Arefin.
