2 cops arrested

Two policemen were held on Friday in a case for getting job in freedom fighters' (FF) quota with 'fake' certificates in Joypurhat last year. The arrestees are Kabirul Islam, son of late Kafir Uddin of Shremantopur, and Shahinuzzaman, son of Abu Salam of Mirzapur village in Panchbibi upazila. The two were posted in Dhaka after getting job in police department. Sirajul Islam, inspector (Investigation) of Joypurhat Sadar Police Station, said they arrested them from their homes on Friday night. They got job as constables under freedom fighters quota last year, submitting FF certificates. Later, the certificates were found to be faked.
