2 nursing students “raped” in Rangpur town

Two students of a private nursing institute have been allegedly raped by one of their fellow and four others in Rangpur town.

Five days into the incident, one of the victims filed a case against the five alleged rapists with Rangpur Kotwali Police Station last night, reports Bangla daily Prothom Alo.

The incident took place when the two went to a student mess to collect notes from a classmate on October 27, the daily said.

Police arrested Alamgir Kabir, also a student of the private nursing institute after the case was filed.

The victims have been kept at the victim support centre of the police station, the daily said.
