235 ASPs promoted to addl SP

The government today promoted 235 assistant superintendents of police (ASP) to the rank of additional superintendent of police.

The home ministry in a circular said the order will make effective immediately.

The promotion, for the officers who are on study leave or in peacekeeping mission abroad, will be effective after their joining, it added in the circular.
