Cattle trader murdered

A cattle trader was murdered by an unidentified gang at Gouripur village in Tala upazila of the district yesterday. The deceased is Kazi Abu Bakkar Siddik Jony, 35, son of Kazi Abdur Rahman of the village. Victim's brother Kazi Rony said Jony received a phone call around 10:00pm on Friday, went out of his house and did not return home.  Locals spotted Jony's body at a field and informed the police. Officer-in-Charge Tarikul Islam of Patkelghata Police Station said criminals might have strangled Jony. On information, police went to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Satkhira Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC added.
