Gas supply to stay shut in 4 districts for 6 days

Due to maintenance work in the transmission system, gas supply will be closed in several places of Tangail, Sherpur, Jamalpur and Kishoreganj districts for six days.

Gas Transmission Company Limited (GTCL), in a press release, said the procedure will hamper gas supply in Elenga, Tangail, Mirzapur and Chandra areas, a local stringer reports.

The places those are expected to be hit by the gas crisis will be Tangail's Ghatail cantonment, Gopalpur upazila, Kishoreganj Sadar, Jamalpur Sadar, Sharishabari upazila, and Tarakandi union, and Sherpur Sadar.

Mohammad Shahjahan, public relations officer of Titas, told journalists that the supply is expected to return by September 21 after the maintenance work is complete.
