Housewife beaten to death

A housewife was beaten to death at Bathkathi in Rajapur upazila of the district on Tuesday night. The deceased was identified as Khadiza Begum, 55, wife of Insabali of the area. Family sources said Khadiza picked up a quarrel with her neighbour Tota Mia as sweet potatoes were stolen from her garden. At one stage, Tota Mia beat up Khadiza mercilessly, leaving her seriously injured, said the victim's son Moudud. She later died at a hospital, said police
