Jackal kills minor girl

A seven-year-old girl was found dead at a maize field at Bailjuri village in Ghior upazila of the district on Tuesday, hours after she went missing. The victim is Farjana, 7, daughter of Firoj Mia of the village. Family sources said Farjana went missing from the house around 2:00pm. The body was found at the field around 7:00 pm. She might have been killed by a jackal, said Assistant Superintendent of Police Harun-ur-Rashid.
