Lightning kills farmer

A farmer was killed and another injured by lightning at Kadpur village in Kalaroa upazila of the district yesterday. The deceased is Ramzan Ali Sarder, 19, son of Mita Sarder of the village. Police and locals said a thunderbolt struck Ramzan and Mizan at about 10:30am when they were working at a paddy field in the area. Ramzan died on the spot.
