Lightning kills farmer

A farmer was killed by lightning at Bahirgachhi village in Kaliganj upazila yesterday. The deceased is Johurul Islam, 30, son of Momin Haque of the village. Locals said a thunderbolt struck Johurul when he was working in his cropland at around 3:00pm. He died on the spot.
