Man killed over land dispute

A man was killed in a clash between two rival groups over a disputed land at Baraipara village in Hatibandha upazila of the district yesterday.

The deceased is Sahidur Rahman, 39, son of Abdul Kalam of the same village.

Police said when Nazrul and his brother went to 'grab' the land at noon, Sahidur protested the incident.

At one stage, the trio attacked Sahidur with sharp weapons, leaving him dead on the spot.
