PBS employees threaten strike

Around two hundred employees of Pirojpur Palli Bidyut Samity (PBS) yesterday threatened to go for an indefinite work abstention demanding regularisation of their jobs.

Following a human chain programme in front of the Palli Bidyut Samity Office at Marichal village in Sadar upazila they issued the warning at noon.

The speakers at the rally urged the authorities concerned to stop terminating the metre readers and messengers of the Samity after completion of their nine-year contract in three terms.
