Resist militancy

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal yesterday said the people dislike militancy, so they will come forward to fight against it.

He said this while he was speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of Bera Model Police Station in the district.

"People of Bangladesh are peaceful and don't like militancy and terrorism. They are beside the government in the fight against the menace, which is the reason for the success of the anti-militant drive," the minister said.

Talking with reporters, the minister said the militants behind the Gulshan attack and other criminals are under watch of the law enforcement agencies.

"The militants and criminals are under the watch of the law enforcement agencies so they do not dare to commit crimes so easily," the home boss said.
