Two schoolgirls kidnapped

Criminals abducted two schoolgirls from Basundia Beltola area in Jessore Sadar upazila on Tuesday.

The victims, daughter of Rezaul Islam and Kuddus Molla of Junglebari village, are Class X students of Junglebari Girls' School.

Quoting victims' family members, police said a gang of 3/4 youths, led by Saddam Hossain, 26, son of Asanur Rahman of Bangalibari village under Harintana Police Station in Khulna, intercepted the two girls on their way to school in the morning.

They later forcibly picked them up in a private car and fled the scene.

Officer-in-Charge Illias Hossain of Sadar Police Station said father of the victims filed two separate cases with the police station accusing Saddam Hosain, Arif Hawlader and Nazmul Sardar the same night.
