Woman killed in boat capsize

A woman drowned and a girl went missing as a boat capsized in Boithakhali canal in Austagram upazila on Monday night. The deceased is Sokhila Begum, 40, wife of Hazrat Ali of the village. An engine driven boat with several passengers on board sank in the canal due to heavy current around 8:00pm, leaving Sokhila dead and Tania, 12, missing, said Kamrul Islam, officer-in-charge of Austagram Police Station.
