Youth held with pistol

The Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested a youth with a foreign made pistol, three bullets and a magazine from a rented house at Baropur in Sadar upazila of the district early yesterday.

The arrestee is Rakibul Hasan Babu, 28, son of Abdus Sattar of Palashbari Dakkhinpara in the upazila.

On secret information, the law enforcers raided the house and arrested Babu with the pistol and bullets.

A case was filed in this connection, said DB police sources.
