$400,000 in North America: ‘Bonolota Express’ makes history

Directed by Tanim Noor, “Bonolota Express” is setting new benchmarks at the North American box office, steadily breaking records since its release in the United States and Canada. The star-studded film has garnered an impressive response from audiences, surpassing the lifetime earnings of “Hawa” within just two weeks, previously the highest-grossing Bangladeshi film in the region.

In a significant milestone, “Bonolota Express” has now become the first Bangladeshi film to enter the $400,000 club in North America.
The development was confirmed by Mohammad Oliullah Sajib, President of the film’s international distributor, Swapna Scarecrow. He revealed that within the first 17 days of its release, the film grossed $401,000 across North America.



The film continues its strong run into the third week, adding a record $40,000 to its gross during this period alone. It is currently being screened in 21 theatres across the region.

Produced by Buriganga Talkies and co-produced by Hoichoi Productions, “Bonolota Express” boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Mosharraf Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Intekhab Dinar, Zakia Bari Mamo, Azmeri Haque Badhan, Sabila Nur, Sariful Razz, Shamol Mawla, Arefin Zilani, Labonno Chowdhury, and Masha, among others.
