The special screening of Chorki’s original web film “Lifeline” took place at the Liberation War Museum Auditorium in Dhaka on June 25. The event was attended by the cast and crew, journalists, and content creators.

Before the screening began, the audience observed a one-minute silence in memory of the father of the film’s editor, Moyukh Bary.

After watching the film, actress Bidya Sinha Mim became emotional while sharing her thoughts. The story explores the relationship between a father and daughter, and Mim said it reminded her of her own life. She was unable to hold back her tears. Veteran actor Khairul Alam Sabuj, who played Mim’s father in the film, also became emotional while speaking about the project.

Many guests praised the film’s story, direction and performances. Alongside Mim and Rezwan Parvez, Akhomo Hasan received special appreciation  for his role.

The film’s song “Amare Nao” has also received praise from audiences. Written by director Kazi Asad, with music composed by Jahid Nirob, the song was performed by Oyshee.

Oyshee said she had been involved with the song from the beginning and already knew the story and its emotional context. She believes that connection helped her deliver the song, which audiences have warmly received.

“Lifeline” marks Mim’s first project for Chorki. Director Kazi Asad previously directed Chorki’s original series “Adhunik Bangla Hotel”.

Speaking about the film, Asad said it explores how far people can go for love and what they are willing to risk. Through the journey of a young woman named Anannya, the film tries to express deep emotions about love, sacrifice and relationships.

The film stars Bidya Sinha Mim, Rezwan Parvez, Gazi Rakayet, Akhomo Hasan, Khairul Alam Sabuj, Naznin Hasan Chumki, Anisha Noor Ayat, and Fatematuj Johara Eva.
