Mostafa Kamal Raz’s ‘Tomader Golpo 2’ set to premiere this Eid

After gaining over 47 million views, the popular drama “Tomader Golpo” is returning with a sequel this Eid. The new instalment, titled “Tomader Golpo 2”, is directed by Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz.

The first drama aired during Eid-ul-Fitr last year and received widespread praise from audiences. Many viewers considered it one of the best dramas of the season. The story, centred on family emotions and relationships, attracted millions of viewers on YouTube.

Encouraged by this success, the sequel is now being produced with a script by Siddiqur Rahman. Shooting is currently underway. The drama is scheduled to air this upcoming Eid on Channel i and Cinemawala.

The cast includes Jovan, Totini, Intekhab Dinar, Deepa Khandakar, Monira Mithu, Saberi Alam, Dilara Zaman, Khairul Alam Sabuj, Dr Ejajul Islam, among others.

Actor Jovan, who won Best Actor at the Meril Prothom Alo Awards for the first instalment, said, “It is rare to have so many talented performers in a one-hour drama. Working with such experienced actors motivates me to do better. I believe we will be able to meet the audience’s expectations with this sequel.”

Totini said, “Working with such experienced actors leaves little room for weak performances. I feel this project is giving me strong learning.”

Veteran actress Dilara Zaman said, “Family relationships are breaking down. But Raz’s stories help strengthen those bonds. There are many twists in this story. Viewers will feel joy, emotion, pain, and finally satisfaction.”
Dr Ejajul Islam said, “Raz is not only making good dramas. He is also creating opportunities for actors like us. This is helping improve our work and bringing audiences back to Bangla dramas.”

Raz recently gained further recognition through the popular serial “Eta Amaderi Golpo” and won Best Director at the Meril Prothom Alo Awards for “Tomader Golpo”.
