‘Bonolota Express’ crosses Tk 5 crore in 18 days

“Bonolota Express” has emerged as the highest-grossing release among this Eid’s lineup, crossing the Tk 5 crore mark within 18 days of its release, according to production sources.

The film is based on “Kichukhon”, a novel by acclaimed writer Humayun Ahmed, and has drawn strong audience response since hitting theatres during Eid-ul-Azha.

Director Tanim Noor expressed gratitude for the film’s success, saying, “I am overwhelmed by the audience response. I thank all the cast and crew, and especially remember Humayun Ahmed sir—he is the true magician.”

The ensemble cast includes Mosharraf Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Sariful Razz, Shyamal Mawla, Zakia Bari Mamo, Azmeri Haque Badhan, Sabila Nur and Arefin Zillani, among others.

With its strong box office performance, the film has taken the lead among the five films released this Eid season.
