Anima Roy delivers stellar performance in Kolkata

Recently, a special musical evening featuring renowned Rabindra Sangeet artiste, Anima Roy was held in Kolkata. The event took place on the evening of Chaitra Sankranti at the Kolkata Lake Club. Anima performed for two hours at a stretch as the main artiste of the show.

Anima Roy's performance featured the songs "Chokher Aloy Dekhechhilem", "Dariye Acho Tumi Amar", "Chokhe Amar Trishna", "Tumi Robe Nirobe" and "Majhe majhe tobo dekha pai".

Speaking to The Daily Star, Anima Roy said, "The language and culture of our two Bengals are the same. Previously, I have performed on several channels in Kolkata. However, due to the pandemic and various other reasons, I have missed the audience of Kolkata for a long time now. Finally, when the organisers spoke to me about this event, I immediately agreed. I want to express my love, appreciation and gratitude to the organisers and the audience in Kolkata."

Following Anima Roy's performance at the show, "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa" contestant, Arifin Rana took to stage to sing. Meanwhile, on the occasion of Pahela Baishakh and Eid, Anima has released the song, "Bhalobeshe Shokhi Nibhrite" on her official YouTube channel.
