A Dhaka court granted singer Mainul Ahsan Noble bail today (February 24) in a case alleging financial fraud through deception, court officials said.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Raju Ahmed approved the bail following a hearing, allowing the singer’s release subject to a settlement condition between the parties involved.

Police produced Noble before the court after his arrest on February 23 from the Battala area under Siddhirganj Police Station in Narayanganj. His counsel sought bail during the hearing, which the court granted after considering submissions from both sides.

The same court had earlier issued arrest warrants against Noble and four others on February 2 in connection with the case.

According to the case statement, a woman filed the complaint on August 13 last year, alleging that Noble developed a romantic relationship with her and later obtained money by promising marriage. The complainant alleged that between August 25, 2023, and June 2025, he fraudulently took approximately Tk 13,18,540.

The complaint also alleges that the other accused assisted him in the alleged fraud.

Following court instructions, the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) conducted an investigation. Sub-Inspector Nuruzzaman submitted a report on January 7 this year stating that evidence supporting the allegations had been found.

The other accused named in the case are Noble’s mother, Nazma Hossain, wife Israt Jahan Priya, assistant Munem Shah Soumik, and associate Masud Rana.

The case remains under judicial process.
