Another newlywed couple making headlines this Eid is popular television and OTT actor Partho Sheikh and Samiha Rahman, a professional nail tech and owner of the salon Blushé. Their love story, marked by a long pause and a joyful reunion, has captured attention from fans across the country.

Partho first reached out to Samiha on Facebook back in 2017. “Our love story basically began in 2017. I used to knock her on Facebook—that’s where it actually started. From there, we talked on and off. But back in 2017, our conversations didn’t really go anywhere,” he recalls.

It wasn’t until 2022, after years of following each other online, that their connection deepened. “I had her added on Facebook since childhood, so I had been seeing her posts and photos for a long time. Eventually, things developed from there,” Partho shares. After three years of dating, the couple got engaged in early 2024 and tied the knot later that same year.

Marriage, Partho notes, has strengthened their understanding and trust. “Yes, there are changes after marriage—better understanding and stronger trust. Earlier there were complications, maybe some trust issues. I guess every relationship in this generation faces trust issues and different challenges. After marriage, I think those issues reduce a lot. Things settle down.”

He also highlights the personal growth and calmness that married life has brought to both of them. “She has become more calm and is taking responsibility. I have become calm as well. It works both ways,” he says. Their bond has naturally extended to their families, too. “I have a great bonding with her parents. Now her parents feel like my parents, and my parents feel like her parents—which naturally happens after marriage. Both families share a wonderful bond. It’s really beautiful and interesting.”

Acknowledging the challenges of balancing work and personal life, Partho adds, “Being an artiste and managing everything within a schedule is tough. I think for every artiste and actor, it becomes challenging to give enough time to their partner and manage everything. If the partner isn’t understanding, that can create problems. Thankfully, my partner is very understanding, Alhamdulillah.”

Their Eid celebrations includef both family and friends. “This Eid, she stayed at my house until morning. Then around noon or afternoon, I took her to her parents’ house. We also celebrated this Eid with our friends as well,” Partho adds.

The couple is also planning a post-Eid trip. “We’re planning to go to Thailand after Eid. Yes, about a week or ten days after Eid, Inshallah—either to Thailand or maybe a nearby country. That’s the current plan,” he shares.
