Stars flock to cinemas for Eid releases
Big-budget films have long been a staple of Eid releases. Such films typically feature major stars and strong storytelling. This Eid, five new films have been released, and most of their stars visited cinema halls on Eid day, with more visits planned for today. Let’s take a look at which stars are heading to theatres to support these new releases.
Actor Chanchal Chowdhury has three films released this Eid. Yesterday, he visited a cinema hall in the capital and watched one of his own films. He watched “Bonolota Express” with his wife and son. He said, “Watching a film in a cinema hall with the audience is a completely different experience. I really enjoyed it. Seeing the audience laugh and cry while watching the film was something I truly appreciated. This kind of joy is unique—it cannot be described in words.”
Chanchal is likely to visit one or two more halls today. He added, “I have already watched ‘Bonolota Express’ in a theatre. Next, I plan to watch ‘Domm’ and ‘Pressure Cooker’. I hope to watch the other films as well.”
Azmeri Haque Badhan visited a cinema hall in the capital yesterday and watched her film with the audience. She will visit another hall today. When asked about audience reactions, she said, “The response has been amazing. The joy we felt during shooting is the same joy I saw among the audience in the theatre. The viewers have been able to connect with the film, and seeing their appreciation firsthand feels wonderful.”
Badhan also added, “Yesterday, the film I acted in had a full house. That is truly great news.”
Siam Ahmed visited several cinema halls yesterday in support of his film, “Rakkhosh”. “I am overwhelmed by the love of the audience. They are receiving the film very well. I want to continue this journey with their support.” He added, “I will visit the halls again today. It feels good to see audience reactions firsthand. I would like to urge everyone to watch our films and support local cinema.”
