8 more die of measles, measles-like symptoms in 24 hours; toll now 432

Eight more children died from measles and measles-like symptoms in 24 hours (till 8:00 am today), taking the total number of confirmed and suspected measles deaths to 432.

Of the eight, one is a confirmed measles death, according to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With the lone death, the number of confirmed deaths rose to 69. The death was reported from the Barishal division, according to DGHS.

With seven more suspected measles deaths reported during the same period, the total number of suspected deaths is now 363.

Of the latest deaths, three were reported from Sylhet division, two from Mymensingh, and one each from Dhaka and Chattogram divisions.

During the same period, 126 new confirmed cases were reported, bringing the total to 7,150.

Besides, the DGHS recorded 1,489 new suspected cases in 24 hours, bringing the total to 53, 056.
