Confirmed measles deaths rise to 47 as DGHS reports three more fatalities

The Directorate Geneal of Health Services (DGHS) recorded three more confirmed measles deaths in 24 hours till 8:00 am today, taking the total number of confirmed measles death to 47.

The deaths were reported from Dhaka division.

Besides, the directorate recorded six more suspected deaths in 24 hours, taking the total number of suspected deaths to 226. Two deaths each were recorded from Dhaka and Barishal and one each from Sylhet and Rajshahi divisions.

In the last 24 hours, 163 confirmed measles cases were recorded taking the total confirmed cases to 4,856. Some 1,276 suspected cases were recorded during the same time, taking the total suspected cases to 34,662.
