Six more children die of measles, measles-like symptoms; death toll now 459

Six more children died from measles and measles-like symptoms in 24 hours (till 8:00 am today), taking the total number of confirmed and suspected measles deaths to 459.

Of the six, one is a confirmed measles death, according to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With the lone death, the number of confirmed deaths rose to 75. The death was reported from the Barishal division, according to DGHS.

Of the latest suspected measles deaths, three were reported from Dhaka division, and one each from Sylhet and Mymensingh divisions.

During the same period, 243 new confirmed cases were reported, bringing the total to 7,767.
