CNN's Toy Plane Investigation to Analyse Missing Malaysia Flight

CNN's commitment to its coverage of the missing Malaysia Airlines plane has taken an interesting turn. While reporting extensively on the Boeing 777 carrying 239 people that went missing early last Saturday, CNN introduced a new prop in order to really take its investigation to the next level. Unfortunately, that wasn't the end. CNN continued to use the same toy plane during its coverage on Saturday, testing out different disappearance theories by pointing to different parts of the toy.

 

 

Vast Water Reservoir Hidden in the Earth's Crust

Scientists have discovered a vast reservoir of water under the Earth's mantle they say could be larger than all the oceans combined. Canadian researchers say analysis of rare mineral points to the huge store of water deep in Earth's mantle, 400-600 kilometres (250-375 miles) beneath our feet. That particular water containing zone in the Earth, the transition zone, might have as much water as all the world's oceans put together.

 

Hearing the Colours

A colour blind artist claims he can now 'hear' colours after having an 'eyeborg' antenna implanted into his skull. Harbisson, of Camden, London, was born with achromatopsia, a rare condition which means he can only see in black and white. After implanting this antenna and a chip inside his skull, Harbisson now can perceive more intricate colours as audio input.
