It's a Hard Life
Lalmonirhat. Day labourers of Megharam village return after a futile attempt at searching for work, as there is very little demand for their work during this season. Unfortunately, the government's 40-day job scheme meant for poor people, particularly for such times of crisis, is yet to start.

Bug Attack
Dhaka. Herds of foreign mealybugs invaded the Home Economics College in the capital, inducing panic amongst students and teachers. The sap-sucking bugs were found in classrooms, labs, and dormitories. These pests might have migrated to the country in plants smuggled from African countries, believe experts.
