Elephant Troubles

Nilphamari. Police on Friday night detained a pet elephant from Chapani Haat in Dimla upazila under the district to settle the dispute between two men over its ownership. A circus owner rented it from a person but later allegedly declined to pay the money.

SLOW POISON

Dhaka. Toxic formalin being sprayed on mangoes so that they look ripe and fresh. The government is going to set up eight check posts at the entrances to the capital to prevent these contaminated fruits from getting to the consumers in Dhaka.
