LIVING WITH the Stars

Sharmin Lucky started as voice a over artist. Now she is one of the best in a field like this in Bangladesh. It is hard to find someone who continues this art for a long time since there isn’t much recognition in being just a voice over artist. But she has stuck to practicing this delicate craft for a while. Lucky isn’t just a voice over artist, she is also a successful model. In fact, she has been one of the most popular models in Bangladesh for a while. She appears to have not aged at all in all her years in front of the camera, which is a godsend quality of a model. One other commendable aspect about her is that she doesn’t try to hard to be a part of the limelight. She has not acted in any drama, telefilm or film despite her huge popularity and demand. It is very common in our entertainment industry that once a model becomes popular, she tries out acting whether they have the talent for it or not. But she has set her boundaries and established her unique image very early on in her career. We hear her voice and see her appear in many TV advertisements. She has reached a stage where everyone wants her to be the face of their brand. She is in a position where she can afford to be picky. She can choose fewer and more established brands that’ may take her even higher. Overexposure can sometimes be detrimental in the long run. I would hope that she becomes more fastidious in choosing which advertisement suits her stature and which advertisement should be left for the new and less experienced. There are very few anchors who have her looks and her eloquence. She has immensely contributed a lot in the art of anchoring. We wish that she remains this graceful for many years that are yet to come.
